Irene, stylist, e Lorenza, storica dell’arte, hanno percorsi professionali differenti ma allo stesso tempo molto simili; ciò che le lega, oltre all’amicizia è la voglia di sperimentare e di innovare. Purple Props nasce così da questa esigenza creativa in cui le due anime delle fondatrici convergono: design e arte si incontrano tra prodotto e opera. Ogni pezzo, seppur replicabile, rimane unico; ogni pezzo, rigorosamente fatto a mano, è realizzato ad hoc per i singoli progetti.
Studio, ricerca, intuito e libertà espressiva sono le basi del fare artistico che si sviluppa anche attraverso un’eventualità inattesa; diventa dunque fondamentale saper onorare quelle imperfezioni che al giorno d’oggi si cercano sempre più di correggere o di cancellare e che sono invece sinonimo di unicità e di bellezza. Irene, stylist, and Lorenza, art historian, have different professional backgrounds that are in some way very similar; what binds them, besides friendship, is their shared desire to experiment and innovate. Purple Props stems from this creative urge that brings together their two spirits: design and art meet amidst product and artwork. Each piece, although repeatable, remains unique; each piece, rigorously handmade, is specially designed for the single projects.
Practice, research, intuition and freedom of expression are the core of this artistic enterprise that unfolds even through unexpected opportunities;
Imperfection, that nowadays, more and more, needs to be corrected or removed, here becomes a fundamental quality to cherish as it stands for uniqueness and beauty. Beauty that is inclusive of the unpredictable, the unexpected, the rift.
